Elena Likhach — biography
Elena Aleksandrovna Likhach, also known under the pseudonym Elena Likhach, is a well-known Petersburg poetess, a nominee for two awards: “My Russia” and “Golden Pen in Vyatka”. She published her first collection and released it to the world in 2003, and since then her fans have not tired of following the work of the poetess.
Happy childhood and youth of Elena Likhach
The future poetess was born in the beautiful city of St. Petersburg on January 2, 1977. Grandmother, grandfather and parents are also natives of Leningrad. Alexander — the girl’s father worked at the Severnaya Verf plant, her mother taught mathematics at school.
From a young age, the girl showed interest in music, loved to listen to fairy tales and poems. Grandparents were creative personalities and attracted Elena to their interests. They lived on Ligovsky Prospekt, and the girl very often visited them. Grandfather was a civil engineer by education, worked by profession. But all his adult life he was fond of literature. Grandmother was a piano teacher at a music school.
Elena recalls with trepidation and tenderness how her grandfather spent hours telling her biographies of writers and poets, as well as quoting passages from prose and reciting poems. Elena could not remain indifferent and also fell in love with literature with all her heart.

The girl studied in St. Petersburg at a comprehensive school. Elena had no problems with her studies. All subjects came easily. But most of all she liked the lessons in foreign languages and literature. Here she had no equal.
Parents, grandparents could not allow the girl’s creative talent to disappear, so it was decided to send the girl to a music school in piano. Elena’s talent was hard not to notice, the teachers admired how easily the girl learns to play the instrument. She often participated in concerts, including solo ones. During her studies, Elena learned not only to master the instrument well, but also to feel confident on stage and in the society of the intelligentsia.
It is worth noting that Elena also has achievements in sports. She was engaged in fencing and even grew to the title of master of sports. But after a joint injury, she had to leave the sport.
First compilations, public acceptance
For a long time, poetry was just a hobby for the girl, which was not known to such a large circle of people. But at the age of 26, Elena’s first collected works, «At the bottom of the St. Petersburg wells,» were released to the public. The main object of inspiration for creating poems was the city of St. Petersburg. All works of the poetess are imbued with love for the city. Elena tells how long she walked the streets of her beloved city, enjoying its beauties, uniqueness and special mood. The collection was well received by the public, and Elena gained a huge number of fans.
Elena Likhach did not want to stop and continued to create. And four years later another collection of poems called «The Thirtieth Spring» was published. In this collection, the poetess spoke about her childhood memories. Other poems are devoted to the eternal questions of philosophy, love and the chanting of incredible spring landscapes.

Elena respects and endlessly loves the classics, but is not at all against modern trends in literature, she supports and participates in them. She loves and knows how to speak in public, often takes part in literary competitions.
In recent years, Elena has been actively traveling in search of sources of inspiration. Knowledge of foreign languages helps her a lot in this. With particular enthusiasm, she talks about a trip to Rome and Barcelona.

He often reads the works of modern and classical authors. To the question of which work and which author is her favorite, the poetess no doubt answers: Pasternak’s Doctor Zhivago. Elena dreams of at least a little closer to his unsurpassed ability to touch the soul and leave the same impression.
As for her personal life, Elena is not particularly willing to talk about it. It is known that she was married, but not so long ago the marriage was annulled. Today the woman is a happy mother of two girls Alina and Liza.
